Jake Paul labelled 'hardest working fighter' and tipped to win bout by former sparring partner and t

Jake Paul is the hardest working fighter out there, according to his former sparring partner and teammate.

An MMA fighter by profession, Anthony Taylor was brought into Paul's camp as a sparring partner and the pair used to spar twice a week.

"I got to see how he fights and how he performs," Taylor told talkSPORT.

"When you're dealing with Jake, he's a fast learner, but he's more dedicated. This is what you call hard work beats talent.

"Jake is not the most talented fighter, but he's the hardest working fighter there is."

Having worked with Paul for a number of years, Taylor has seen how far he has come from having his first amateur fight in 2018 to now taking on Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia on Sunday night.

"I've seen a lot of improvement when it comes to his volume of punching knowing when and where to throw his punches," Taylor said.

"His ring IQ has gotten a lot better and he's able to utilise everything around him.

"He is really well coached under BJ Flores and he has an amazing team around him and they're teaching him the game.

"Whereas Tommy hasn't shown any improvement. The only improvement he's shown is the trash-talking of his dad and his brother."

Taylor also happens to be a former opponent of Fury and despite being beaten by him in 2018, he was not particularly impressed with the Brit.

"Tommy doesn’t possess the knockout power, we don’t see it, he doesn’t have that dog in him," Taylor said.

“If you can’t knock me out then you sure as hell aren’t knocking Jake Paul out.

“He’s taller and bigger and Jake is in there getting that work, he’s sparring, he’s training, all we see is you posting a few pictures. Hard evidence shows that Jake is a harder worker than Tommy.”

In terms of a prediction, Taylor said: “Jake by knockout in six rounds. Tommy doesn’t have the gas tank to do eight rounds.”
