Ryan became a partner at G2 Venture Partners in February of 2021. Before that, he worked at Proterra for more than seven years as a board member, executive director, and CEO.
Moreover, he was also a board of directors at Silicon Valley Leadership Group and a partner with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Popple also worked as Senior Director of Finance, finance manager, and senior financial analyst at Tesla motors.

Popple attended the College of William and Mary, the second oldest college in the United States. and did BBA in Finance from 1996 to 2000.
Later, Ryan studied at Harvard Business School that offers one of the most prestigious graduate business programs, from 2004 to 2006, and had an MBA in Finance.
